Bringing Home the Bacon: The RI Squealer at Johnny Rockets

This past weekend, I stopped by Johnny Rockets in Providence for the celebration of a burger blessing. A harmonic blend of beef and bacon (60/40) create a burger so tasty, it deserves its own quirky nickname. The RI Squealer is the first of a line of specialty burgers that will be available in select cities across the country. Locally sourced ingredients (Cabot Cheddar) and the mother of all patties provide the foundation for this one of a kind burger.

Click the jump for a look at their official press release and an Apple Pie Milkshake that’ll hit harder than a Lennox Lewis haymaker. Be sure to stop by any R.I. Johnny Rockets and try the bacon burger of all bacon burgers!

I couldn’t settle for just the burger. Oh no, I made sure to complete the meal in classic Johnny Rocket fashion. I went with an order of onions rings accompanied with one of their famous deluxe milkshakes. Food coma in 3…2…1…

The Big Apple Pie Milkshake – They literally use a whole slice o’ pie!

“The Rhode Island Squealer is a 100% USA-raised, all-natural, fresh, never frozen ground beef (60%) and bacon (40%) patty … mixed with mesquite seasoning, a touch of garlic and a dash of Worcestershire sauce … and topped with local Cabot White Cheddar Cheese, crisp shredded lettuce, onions, tomato, mayonnaise, and Johnny Rockets’ signature “red red sauce” (chili ketchup with a kick).”

Say Cheeseeee-Burger!
